Happy Hens

We spread out a bunch of branches that we trimmed from trees blocking the garden in the hen yard. I scattered weeds and kitchen scraps throughout. Now the henny babies are on a treasure hunt.

Let there be FERNS on earth !!

We love asparagus. This time of the season they begin to fern. They are so beautiful and attract beautiful friends to the garden.

What's That Berry In The "Busket"

That would be black raspberries. We though the berry thicket was just blackberries. Well they are actually 50/50 blackberries and black raspberries. Yum and more Yum!! We are getting a good busket (yes that's a real word) full a day.

Penny Saver Tips

The Blackberries are Ripening. Yum!!

Fairy/Dragon Garden Phase 1

We are making a fairy/dragon garden. First we shopped and picked out a special tree. The weeping cherry. Then we recycled a wood table top and weather proofed it. It is placed on top of two wood logs from fallen trees. Stat tuned for phase 2.

Ever Bearing Strawberries

Which strawberry do you prefer? June bearing or ever bearing ? I choose ever bearing. Instead of one big crop in spring I get continuos berries from spring to frost. Give them a try.
