Easy Seed Saving Tip

To save seed from top seeding plants such as chard and spinach all you need are paper lunch bags and string. Cover the top stems that are forming seeds with the bag and tie  it tightly at the base with string. The seeds will drop into the bag as they dry and the birds cannot get them.

Vegan Spelt Biscuits

Today I used my kids great grandmother's biscuit cutters. It is a kitchen favorite that I cherish and will pass on to the kids. I used a traditional biscuit recipe and subbed coconut milk, white spelt and vegan margarine.

When the stems start turning brown and the plant start to lean/fall over its ready to harvest.

Harvesting Garlic
