We are expecting our first frost any day now. We still have about 75-100 each of roma tomatoes and various hot peppers to harvest. These are the few we grabbed today. We are giving the rest until Friday and then everything gets harvested ready or not. What do you have to harvest before the frost hits?

We love broccoli and we love soup. So why not have them both. Place cleaned broccoli,stalks included in a steamer and steam until tender. Next place half the steamed broccoli in a Vitamix or high powered blender with one cup of vegetarian broth. Transfer to pot. Blend the other half with vegan milk, 1/2 an onion, 3 cloves of garlic,1/4 cup of nutritional yeast, and salt to taste. I used homemade cashew milk.
We are in year five of being gluten free. I have tried many home made all purpose gf flour mixes. My version is inspired by Aneliese Robert's mix in,"Gluten Free Baking Classics". I simplified mine to just using two flours and two starches.
3 cups of white or brown rice flour.
3 cups of sorghum or millet flour.
3 cups of tapioca starch.
3 cups of potato starch.

IThe hobbits and I love everything pie, cobbler, and crumble. This crumble includes apples we recently picked from a local orchard. Peel and core 10 apples. Place sliced apples in a pot on the stove with vegan butter, cinnamon, ground clove, allspice, and nutmeg. Add chopped walnuts and sweetener to your liking. Cook all ingredients until apples become tender but still slightly crisp.
